You don't have a mountain area nearby to spend a few days? No problem, the inhabitants of Hualien city, in Taiwan, have the solution thanks to the BIG architecture studio, which has designed an urbanization composed of mountain-shaped houses.
The proposal, without a doubt, is innovative. It is planned that this urbanization be built between 2016 and 2018, in an environment that will be embraced by green spaces to fully integrate it into nature.
As you can see in the photographs, the buildings, with avant-garde lines, simulate mountains. Mountains covered with a vegetation cover as a visual resource to reduce its impact, but also to help isolate homes in a natural way.
The interior of the houses, is totally in line with the refined lines of these buildings that are almost integrated into the landscape. Very bright interiors to have fully glazed facades, with a lovely nordic air and iconic elements such as the spiral stairs that communicate the two heights of the houses
What do you think of these mountain-shaped buildings? Would you like to live in them? Or do you see them one of the many eccentricities that are seen in the world of architecture? I particularly like both the exterior design and the way of integrating the buildings into the landscape with those green roofs, as well as the interior of them. And you?
